Oriental Group of Educational Institutions (OGEI) spread over 28 acres of land in three different campuses is located at Lakkidi and Vythiri, Wayanad District of Kerala on the NH 212. It is owned and managed by the Malabar Hotel Management & Catering Promotion Trust (MHMCPT) – a charitable trust formed with an intention of promoting the Hospitality and Tourism industry and promoting quality education. The College Management owns and operates a 5 star facility Resort (The Vythiri Village Resort) with 2000 seated convention centre adjacent to the Vythiri campus. The group’s first venture- a Hospitality Management Institution, Oriental School of Hotel Management (OSHM), Lakkidi came into existence in the year 1995

Oriental Institute for Management Studies situated at Lakkidi was instituted in the year 2013 with the aim of offering a broad range of career to the students in the Management IT sectors.Its sprawling campus has several units including the Main Block housing the Management Institute with classrooms, training Laboratories, libraries, administrative offices, and the hostels.

‘School of Media and Entertainment’ is the latest venture from the Oriental group which offers a bunch of degree and diploma courses with all modern amenities. These bachelor course such as Visual Communication, Multimedia , Mass Communication and Costume and Fashion Designing covers whole areas of Print, Web and Electronic media along with the art and craft of Apparel designing. The School also focuses on silver screen with a Post Graduation diploma in film making along with other diploma courses which gives specializations in all stages of production with piratical oriented training sessions .

WHAT YOU WILL STUDY

There are six blocks that focus on the six main screen productions you will complete on the course: Fiction, Short Form, Factual, Episodic, Long Form and the final Graduation Project. During each block you will explore core subject areas through practical exercises that will build a comprehensive, practical and in-depth understanding of the key skills needed to produce dynamic screen content.
